Cridland leaves BBC Audio & Music

James Cridland, the former head of Audio & Music Interactive at BBC Future Media & Technology, is to leave the organisation next week.

Cridland joined the BBC in 2007 to help the audio and music department develop its strategy for non-linear digital media services.He recently became executive product manager, A/V Products for BBC Radio and was working on the BBC iPlayer for Radio, with a remit to improve both the audio experience and technical workflow.

He joined from Virgin Radio where he worked from 2001 as digital media director.

Cridland, who announced his departure in his personal blog, didn’t disclose his next role.
