Paramount Pictures launches digital GI Joe campaign

Paramount Pictures International has launched an interactive campaign to promote its release of GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

The campaign centres around content on the movie’s website, including games and applications, such as combat trading cards.

Social media activity will also take place via a Facebook application and content such as high scores and user-generated videos on the GI Joe site that can be shared on all networks.

Heath Tyldesley, director of interactive at Paramount Pictures International, said: “The selection of media and interactive content created takes the film to all corners of the web. The ability to share content with friends allows the film to reach the widest audience possible.”

Activity to promote the movie will also involve mobile through a WAP site and an iPhone game.
