Executive appointed to Global

Stephen Miron has been appointed as the chief executive of radio at Global group, it has been announced.

Mr Miron is currently managing director of the Mail on Sunday and Mail Online, people working in executive digital jobs in London may be interested to know.

He will be responsible for the daily running of the radio group and will report to chief executive Ashley Tabor.

Mr Miron, has worked for Associated Newspapers (AN) for two decades on and off, enjoying a brief spell at the Independent between 1999 and 2000.

He told the Guardian: "It is a fantastic challenge at a very exciting company.

"It will be a challenge working in a new medium with a dynamic group of people."

The Guardian also suggested be was being "groomed" by Lord Rothmere to take over the running of AN.

Global Group is the owner of GCap Media and the former Chrysalis radio stations.
