New mobile marketing executive quits

The marketing director of Samsung Mobile has announced he will leave the company after only one month in the job, those working in jobs in digital London may be interested to know.

James King says he is leaving because of personal issues - cited by mad.co.uk and others as being related to the health of his father.

Samsung said it was sorry to see Mr King leave and indicated they would be beginning the recruitment process for his job from scratch.

Samsung UK boss Mark Mitchinson said "I got on very well with him personally and professionally and wish him all the best for the future."

Mr King had begun his work at Samsung preparing for the launch of the new U800 handset.

He replaced Susan Land, who joined Nokia in February, according to an article in Marketing Week.

Previously he worked for Motorola, where he worked in various roles, including marketing manager, for eight years.
